Our Shetland and Miniature pony stud currently consists of around 30-35 ponies, all of which can be viewed on our website.  All our ponies are registered Shetlands (APSB) and most are also registered as Australian Miniature Ponies (AMPS).  We usually breed anywhere up to 16 foals each year.

Our current breeding aim is to breed more towards the true Miniature pony type, which we believe to be a refined Shetland.

The most important consideration when breeding our ponies is always matching the mare and stallion, so that they compliment each others strengths and weaknesses, straight legs and all round good proportion (particularly good rumps and the right length of leg to body size) is the number one priority.

Another important factor we have tried to achieve when breeding our smaller Shetlands and Miniature ponies, is to breed ponies that are genetically true to height.  By bringing proportion and height down slowly over a few generations, we hope to produce a pony that you can easily predict the height/type of foal it will produce.

We hope you enjoy browsing our site, any enquires/feedback is more than welcome.
