Stud Reduction (Revised 1/1/2011)
After 40 years of breeding, the time has come to start easing off the work load. In order to achieve this we must sell more ponies than just what we advertise as for sale, so we have decided to design a tender form enabling people to offer to purchase ponies that aren’t advertised as for sale on this page. For these three main reasons - · We can only sell what people want to buy · They are only worth what people are prepared to pay for them (although they are invaluable to us) · We want to avoid being put on the spot, when asked if something is for sale and how much will we take for it. We would prefer to take the time we need to consider if the home that is being offered is the right home for the pony
While there are a few ponies that will never leave our property, if the right person with genuine intentions was to visit our stud, most ponies may be available for purchase. The home that is being offered will be taken into much higher consideration than the price offered, as the ponies’ future welfare is our number one priority. We hope by using the tender form we will ensure that our beloved ponies will be going to best home possible, where they will be appreciated and cared for as well as be given the opportunity of a lifelong home. For people who would prefer not to fill out a tender form, we are happy to negotiate privately (in person), however we will not make any on the spot decisions and will take the necessary time to thoroughly consider if the home that is being offered is the right home for that pony.
What should you do if you would like to purchase one of our ponies using the tender system? Come and visit our stud. It is much easier for us to make a decision about selling a pony we are not really wanting to sell if we have met the potential purchaser. So before you submit a tender form, please give us the opportunity to meet you & let us know who you are and what your all about (in regards to horses). Compatibility with the pony’s temperament should be another consideration - it is a waste of everyone's time if the pony is not really suited to what your looking for. So please come and interact with the ponies, and see if the pony of interest will be suitable for your particular purpose.
